RS Components rumoured acquisition surfaces

The RS Components, where a lot of companies and hobbyist order their components from its online store is rumoured to be undergoing a takeover. The company has a market cap of roughly $6 billion but a bid from an unknown entity for $18 a share, is well below the current market cap of the company.

The bid comes from an “unknown entity” while RS Group has very good progress in terms of financials over the past two years, partly thanks to the chip shortage and increased prices on components. With the relaxing of chip shortage, going out of Corona restrictions gradually, the RS Group and similar hyper distributors are expecting even more increase in revenue, making them a good buy in the stock market.

This is all while RS Group had recently purchased the Mexican distributor “RISOUL” for $275 million, expanding its reach in North and South Amerika.
